Daphne’s surgery. Anyone that knows us would tell you our animals are our babies.
Starting at the beginning of October of this year, my husband Dustin noticed a lump on our youngest cat (1.5yo) Daphne’s neck. When we took her to the vet, they thought it was an infection in her lymph node since all the tests for other things it could have been came back negative. Since then, we have tried multiple different antibiotics with no change in size on her lump. We have also just let it be to see if it would go away on its own, but it’s just getting bigger. All we know is that it is in her left lymph node on her neck.
Now, being the end of November, her bump is about the size of a golf ball, and it’s starting to seem like it’s affecting her due to the size of it and how close it is to her throat. We have noticed tonight that she’s starting to sound raspy and having a hard time drinking water. Our only option now is to have her undergo surgery to remove the bump and hopefully get rid of it depending on what it is. With her rapid decline, we have not had a chance to put money away for her surgery. I am not one to ever ask for help, but at this point, we have no other options.
Thank you for reading. Please keep Daphne in your prayers.
