Hello! My name is Anna and this is my dog Luna she’s an Italian greyhound.

she is 8 years old now and has had a hard time through her little life! I rescued her when she was three years old, she was used for breeding and she had lost her leg but was still continued to be used for breeding after she had lost her leg. In the last four months she has been having unexplained strokes/seizures we have no idea what these are!

She goes really stiff cannot move and blind, then when she comes round is unable to walk, then will go wobbly on her legs until she slowly recovers over the next few days and back to her normal self, but we cannot medicate until we know what is causing this to happen.

Each time she has been taken to the emergency vets and hospitalised but without an mri we can’t determine what is going on, this could be strokes, seizures or brain tumors, we need the mri for Luna to find out what it is, hopefully it’s something that could be medicated or if it’s a tumor in the brain at least we can prepare and support her the best we can until the end.

Unfortunately due to how many times she has had to be in emergency care this year with the fits we have ran out of money with the insurance and are going to have to cover the cost for her to see an neurologist specialist and MRI scan,

this is £330 for the consultation and been quoted 4500-5000 for the mri scan on the brain.

i have 5 beautiful dogs and such an animal lover and anybody who knows me knows how much I love them they are my whole world!

im hoping to manage to raise some money for the mri as this is such an unmanageable bill to get within a week but I just want her to have the best possible care and soon as she can to help her!
