I hope this message finds you well. My name is Jada Mora, and I am a 19 year old Bronx resident reaching out to share my story in the hopes of receiving your support. I come from a loving, but financially struggling, low-income family, and I am determined to overcome the obstacles in my path to pursue a college education and my passion for track and field. I have been running track since I was 8 years old and have faced many hardships throughout my journey. With Covid being one, it set me back both academically and athletically and made it hard for me to achieve a full scholarship. I've been accepted into Manhattan college, an opportunity that holds the promise of knowledge and growth. Yet, the barrier of finances threatens to dim the light that has guided me thus far.

As I stand at the crossroads of adulthood, the weight of my dreams and my family's dreams is both exhilarating and terrifying. The idea of going to college became both an exciting opportunity and a daunting challenge. My parents have always emphasized the importance of education, and I share their conviction. However, the reality of our financial situation has placed a heavy burden on my dreams. With limited resources and mounting debts, funding a college education seemed like an insurmountable hurdle.

But giving up has never been an option for me. Where I major in Kinesiology in hopes to be an athletic trainer and continue pursuing my passion for track and field. The prospect of receiving a higher education and continuing to compete in the sport that means everything to me fills me with hope. I am determined to break the cycle of financial hardship that has plagued my family for generations.

The fall semester starts in just 2 weeks so this is where I humbly ask for your support. I have created this GoFundMe campaign to raise funds for my college tuition, textbooks, and track-related expenses. Your contribution, no matter how small, will make a significant impact on my journey. Your belief in my potential will be a driving force as I strive to excel both in the classroom and on the track.
