Dear Family & Friends, I am writing to you today with a heavy heart as I prepare to say goodbye to my mom, Christina Farris. Christina has been battling cancer over the last few years and at this time she is hospitalized, in hospice at Emory University Hospital. Currently the doctors are just trying to keep her comfortable as we prepare to say goodbye. My mom fought a good fight through numerous surgeries, losing her voice and battling cancer.  As her only daughter this extremely hard for me and my brother because we simply thought we had more time. More time to spend with her and more time to share precious moments.  I know I have to be strong and as I prepare to day goodbye I find myself struggling to find the funds to cover the cost a funeral service and burial. I have been out of work caring for my mom while also trying to provide for my family. My mom has always been a shy and modest person and although she never asked for much, she unfortuntately  was not able to obtain life insurance and expenses for her funeral will fall to myself and family. At the suggestion of a close friend I am starting this GoFund me to ask for assistance from family and friends who may know and love me and also love my mom Christina.  The funds will be used for funeral expenses and to ensure my mom has a proper burial. My mom means the world to me and I watching her slowly transition is has been very hard. Please consider donating if you are able to do so.
