Help Amber, Mike and Kimchi – Mayne Island, Let’s Rally Together!
Hi everyone,
We’re reaching out to our amazing Mayne Island community to lend a hand to someone who truly deserves it. Amber Crouse, a kind and hardworking young woman many of you know from the Farm Gate store, is going through a difficult time. Amber and her partner Mike beloved cat, Kimchi, suddenly developed a serious urinary blockage and had to be rushed to the vet.
Kimchi needed a catheter and stayed at the clinic for two nights to stabilize and recover. As many of us know, vet bills can pile up quickly—especially when it’s an emergency—and Amber is doing her best to cover the unexpected costs. But she could really use a little help.
Kimchi isn’t just a pet—he’s family. Just a few days ago, he celebrated his birthday, and now he's fighting to feel better again. Amber has been by his side through it all, and we’d love to show her the same loyalty and care she gives to others.
We’re hoping to raise funds to help cover the vet bills and give Amber and Kimchi some peace of mind. Even a small donation makes a big difference.
One of the things that makes Mayne Island so special is our incredible sense of community—how we show up for one another in times of need. Whether it’s a kind word, a helping hand, or a shared smile at the market, we know we’re never alone here.
Thank you for anything you can give, and thank you for being the generous, big-hearted neighbours we’re so proud to live among.
Let’s help Kimchi get back on his paws.
With love and thanks,
