Dear Family, Friends, and Compassionate Hearts,

As some of you who are close to us know, right now my family is currently facing some tough times financially, and I am having to do something I am very uncomfortable doing, and that is reaching out for help. Unfortunately, both my husband and I are no longer employed at the moment due to this terrible job market we are all experiencing. They say, "When it rains, it pours." It's true.

Last week, we noticed a lump developing under Zoe's left eye and thought it might have been a bug bite and hopefully the lump would go down on its own. Unfortunately, our girl has a tooth abscess that has caused a severe dental infection which, if not treated, can eventually spread to her nasal passage, causing her to have difficulty breathing and eating.

Everyone who knows us and our story knows that we have had Zoe since she was about 8 weeks old, and she is almost 10 now. She is a major part of our family, and it kills me that money is the only thing in the way of getting her the proper medical care she needs.
