We are the Al-Nakhalah family from Gaza. Before the war, we lived in peace — raising our children, working hard, and dreaming of a better future. But everything changed. The war took our homes, our jobs, and our loved ones. Now, we are refugees living in tents, struggling each day to survive.

Who We Are:

We are Mahmoud and Iman Al-Nakhalah, parents of a family of seven. Our lives were destroyed in a matter of seconds. Our daughter and her husband were killed in the war, leaving behind three small orphaned children who now live under our care.

Each member of our family carries a painful story:

Ahmed (36) – A father of two. His wife gave birth on the street during the war, with no ambulance to help. They now live with nothing—no shelter, no income, and no stability.

Rania (33) – A university graduate who had a stable job and life. She lost her grandmother, sister, and brother-in-law. She now lives in a tent in Mawasi with the orphans, traumatized and broken.

Khidr (29) – Was preparing to get married. He had just finished his apartment and worked delivering food with his bicycle. All was lost—his home, his job, even his only horse that helped him carry goods.

Alaa (25) – A fashion design graduate who dreamed of becoming a designer. She had two sewing machines and worked from home. Her machines were destroyed, and her dreams were buried under rubble.

The Orphans: Tala, Ahmad, and Talia – Their parents were killed. Their home was destroyed. They are now homeless, traumatized, and unable to attend school.

Our Reality Now:

We live in overcrowded tents, moving between Khan Younis and Rafah, trying to escape death.

We have no food, no clean water, no medicine.

Some of us suffer from chronic illnesses.

Our children are getting sick from contaminated water.
