My sister Alice has had ongoing kidney issues most of her adult live, but recently has been dealing with constant, sometimes debilitating pain.

She has had to continue to work through this time due to being a single Mum. 

She was told by her specialist that she needs surgery ASAP, but because she had no medical insurance she was encouraged to go private, and would be around $800 out of pocket.

She rallied the funds together, then the day before surgery the hospital called and told her she has to pay $3000 for the hospital bed. She was never told this, so now has had to borrow money that is going to be extremely hard for her to pay back. 

She also isn’t sure of what extra treatment is going to be needed for future treatment/surgeries.
