As many of you know, Autumn recently suffered a severe case of pneumonia, which led to ARDS (Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome). She fought for her life for 11 grueling days in the Cardiac Critical Care Unit. When she was finally awake and well enough to be moved to a normal level of hospital care, we were elated!

The next day they learned of her blood clots. The trauma of her health event, and possibly a contributing family history, led to a pulmonary embolism in each lung. The treatment requires a vital medication she will now need for several months or more after discharge from the hospital. This medication is only partially covered by the family's insurance through Erik's work.

Erik has had to take time off of work through FMLA, to care for Autumn and her 3 siblings at home. This has left the family without the full-time and over-time income they depend on.

Autumn is still in the hospital today and has a long road of recovery ahead. Any help you could offer her and her family during this difficult journey would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
