Matt's Memory ❤️

I write this message to hopefully shed some light on the character and legacy of a truly great man. I hope that those who knew and loved Matt and even those who were just an acquaintance can take a minute to read this.

Matthew J Lazzara was the definition of a good man. He was an adoring father to his sons, Ryder and Myles and a loving partner to Samantha. He was a wonderful son to his parents, a loyal brother and a deeply valued friend.

Matt loved his family above all else. His sons were his best buddies. So many times he talked about his boys. He always said how impressed by them and proud of them he was. He wasn't a part time dad either, he was a truly loving father. The kind who REALLY played with his boys, and sang and read stories and could be firm, yet silly. He loved Samantha with an unwavering love that I admired. He was also a proud cat-dad to Odin and Indy. The most devoted man and father I know.

If we knew him at all, he wouldn't want us to be broken and downtrodden. He would want us to carry on and rejoice TOGETHER. Put petty differences aside and be more open. Be more empathetic, more understanding and do more listening than talking. I say we should all be more like Matt.

He may be gone from us physically but he will NEVER be gone in memory or spirit... What remains is a lifetime's worth of fond memories and stories. The most intense sense of true friendship and most vivid manifestation of a GOOD MAN is what he left behind for his loved ones.
