My name is Ashley Caverly and I have created this GoFundMe for a dear friend and her family. On the evening of May 24, Arisa and her husband, Tony, noticed smoke coming through their vents on their third floor. They immediately started smelling smoke and soon realized there was a fire in the basement. They learned they were not going to be able to put the fire out themselves and called 911. Sadly, it took longer than necessary due to county wires being crossed and Cecil County, MD picking up the call first. Luckily, they got out of the house safely. However, there is a lot of damage to the house. The basement is a total loss, and the other two floors have heavy smoke damage.
Due to the holiday weekend, there is a delay in support from any adjustor. As they ensure the mental well-being of their two young kids, they are working on developing their temporary new normal. They are in need of support for daily items, housing, clothing, and other necessities.
If you know Arisa and Tony, you know how amazing they are and how helpful they are to members of their community. It’s time for us to be their light and help them.
