Help me help my friend GaryGettel beat his cancer

Hello, I'm Martin " Marty " Campos a long time friend and hunting partner of Gary Gettel, both of us formally of Chambersburg, PA.

I started this Gofundme page as Gary was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic colon to liver cancer in August of 2022. He contacted the Cancer Treatment Center of Chicago and was accepted.

He was placed on chemotherapy for 51 hours at a time every two weeks to shrink the cancer prior to much needed surgery. He had surgery on November 14 to remove three feet of his colon and 40% of his liver in an effort to eliminate the cancer. He spent 5 weeks in intensive care dealing with infections and fluid buildup throughout his body. There were two times he almost lost his life while in the ICU, but thanks to the top notch team of doctors and nurses they were able to pull him through. After 6 months of recovery a pet scan was ordered and two more lesions were discovered in his liver.He then had three more months of chemo treatments. Following the treatments he has been cancer free but as his Doctor stated, he can treat it but he can’t cure it. Gary is fighting this head on with a great attitude and a lot of prayers from family and friends. With that being said any prayers and or monetary donations would be greatly appreciated, as the bills are accumulating weekly. If everyone just gave 5 or 10 dollars it would surely help.
