Dear Family and Friends,
Brennan and I are both graduating this year! Brennan is graduating from Capistrano Valley High School and off this fall to studying Engineering (TBD), and I will receive my BS in Biomedical Engineering from The Ohio State University in December (currently completing a six-month internship with Abbott’s Research & Development team). We have decided to go together on another service trip to Namibia, Africa, this June, to share our passion for education and positive life changes with orphaned youth we know. We feel it is so important follow up with them.
We specifically hope to help them through one-on-one tutoring in school and life skills, and furthering our relationships with each individual so they can become cycle-breakers in their world of AIDS and poverty. Our team from Mount of Olives Church will organize a reunion camp for the group of 30 youth who grew up like brothers and sisters in an orphanage and now live in foster care, at college, with distant relatives, or on their own. Sharing the love and hope of Jesus Christ in togetherness and community brings so much joy to them and us!
We ask for your support in prayers and funding. Our non-profit organization “Namibia Education Fund” allows 100% of funds to be used in the country (well, minus the bank wire cost). We also need some help getting us there. Thank you very much for your consideration and God Bless!
