Elaine was on her way home from a long shift In the ER @ Good Samaritan Hospital @ 11:30 at night when she saw someone or something in the middle of the road on the corner of her house that looked like they needed help. She pulled over to see if she can help them. What she didn’t know was that a young kid was trying to help a dog that was just hit by a car. The car left the scene. That dog was HER dog. Her daughters SERVICE DOG. Elaine immediately starting doing CPR on the dog and as doing so SHE was ran over by a car. She’s lucky to be alive and was very close to death. Thankfully she only has 2 broken legs. It could have been worse. The doc’s were unable to cast both legs due to swelling. She doesn’t know if she needs surgery in the future. They have to wait for the swelling to go down to further evaluate. She’s unable to work, her family medical insurance is now canceled . She can’t afford cobra not working. Social services is unable to help due to her getting her last check. The insurance company of the women who hit her will not pay for in house care or lost wages. She can’t walk and barley take care of herself let alone her children. Her daughter was home from college with her dog when this all happened. Now her poor daughter may not be able to go back to school due to the anxiety of not having her service dog with her. She has an attorney but this all takes time. Time is not on her side right now with no income. If you can please donate to help her out temporarily it would be greatly appreciated.
