Help my friend get out of an abusive situation

Hello! I am creating a GoFundMe for one of my closest friends, who is currently in an abusive and dangerous living situation. His current caregiver has become emotionally and physically abusive, and I would like to help him get into a healthy and stable living situation.

My friend is on the autism spectrum and has already applied and is working with lawyers to receive disability through the state so he can support himself independently in the future. However this process can take up to 3 to 5 months, and I do not want him in this abusive situation for that long. I have attached screenshots from his caregiver to this GoFundMe with my friend's permission.

He currently has a potential place to stay for $200/month. I have committed to paying for his first month. However I need assistance with raising funds for the next few months + groceries. $2,000 is very much a 'reach' goal just so he can have a safe cushion, but anything will help.

Additionally, if anyone has any potential resources that my friend can reach out to, please let me know. My friend is one of the sweetest people I know, and we have been friends for most of our lives and I want to help him as much as I can.
