Many of you know me personally and others I have met throughout my career life. Life was good and then it wasn’t that good.

In January 2025, after many diagnostic tests, I found out I have breast cancer with metastasis to lymph nodes.

I am a fighter and will not give up. I recently had a port placed to begin chemotherapy in a couple of weeks. I will also be needing surgery and radiation. I reach out because, like many of us, I am a hardworking single mother with health insurance. I don’t earn a huge salary, but it was enough to make ends meet. Now, my world is turned upside down. The smile on my face has faded as I learn the truth of what a cancer diagnosis really means. I don’t qualify for assistance because I have insurance and a job. I have had to miss work due to appointments and procedures, and as we move on, that will only mean more downtime.

My bills are starting to pile up as I have an out-of-pocket to meet of $7,500.00. That is not counting food, rent, auto payment, auto insurance, copayments, etc.

I thought long and hard enough about creating a GoFundMe account. I believe my process will take a village of people to help out. I pray for God to give me the strength to get through treatment.
