Jim Snow and Diane Lego - Jim's recovery

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Hilary and I know Jim and Diane through swimming. Together Jim and Diane have touched so many lives through their combined coaching careers. On their behalf, this Go Fund Me has been started to help them through an unexpected life-changing medical event. Everything raised here will be for Diane and Jim to navigate his hospitalization and recovery.

On Sunday, April 30th Jim suffered a medical emergency just as Diane was heading out to the door to a swim meet, of course. He was taken to the hospital, where he remains and his course forward is unclear at this time.

Jim's heart and soul are filled with swimming. He first started coaching in 1979 while he was pursuing his Health Sciences degree. He soon found himself moving to Vancouver to coach for the Vancouver Pacific Swim Club. This is where the story of Jim and Diane begins as Diane was his assistant coach.

After his year there he continued coaching on and off while also working in insurance and real estate.

One cannot stay away from their true love forever though, and he found himself back on the pool deck with his company Sharper Aquatic Imaging. This has allowed him to assist swimmers from national to club levels within Canada and internationally.

In 2018 Diane was visiting her son and reached out to Jim. In August 2019 she moved to Ontario and together they continue to pursue their love of coaching, gardening, dogs and family.

Jim is surrounded by some of the best medical professionals our country has to offer. In these times however, the financial burden is significant. We are hoping that you will join us to lighten the load for Diane and their family as they navigate this unknown time.

No donation is too small or too large.

From Diane herself "The swimming family reaches far and wide and the support is heartfelt and so appreciated."
