Help with Alicia's Medical Costs

As most of you know, our dear friend, Alicia Lizama Aschauer, has been battling leukemia for the past year.    After some initial success from a bone marrow transplant, her most recent blood test showed the leukemia cell count has started to increase.  Last week, Alicia found out she was eligible for a clinical trial that may eradicate her persistent disease.  This treatment will take place at the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance and last 6-8 weeks.  Alicia, Chris, Caleb and Carol (her mother) will all relocate to Seattle during this time, staying in an apartment near the treatment facility.  

This treatment is Alicia's  hope for a cure.  Life has been anything but easy for her entire family.  As you can imagine, their finances are strained with the past year's expenses and Alicia not being able to work.  It's my hope that if everyone can pitch in, their burden will be lessened.  

Alicia and Chris were hesitant to let me post to this site but I see it as a way for those who love her to help out.  It's frustrating not to be able to help her physically due to time or geographic constraints.  I see this as a way for anyone, who is so inclined, to help out in a very meaningful way.
