Craig's Fight Against Cancer
Donation protected
Anyone who has ever met Craig "Keg" McLucas has instantly felt at home. He has a way about him that makes you instantly feel comfortable and relaxed. He is a life long friend to many...he is a brother, a son, and an uncle. He is the epitome of a happy Irishman, always a smile, always willing to help, always a shoulder to lean on.
Recently we received some unfortunate news that no one wants. We learned that Keg was diagnosed with colon cancer. The plan was to have surgery to remove it. Once the doctors got into the area, they discovered additional cancer in the abdomen. The doctors felt the best decision was to leave everything as it was so they could come up with a better treatment plan.
Keg will begin chemotherapy very soon. He has the port in place and the plan of attack is to administer the medication, shrink the cancer in the abdomen and then go back in and remove the portion of the colon that was the initial concern.
As if the treatment isn’t hard enough, the constant flow of bills makes an already stressful time even more difficult. Not only is this diagnosis scary, but the treatment is as well. When people we know are going through a tough time, we always say, “let me know how I can help”. Well, I am asking anyone who has either met Keg or has been touched by this disease, to please consider making a donation. Every little bit helps, every little bit shows love and compassion, and every little bit eases a bit of the stress that Keg is enduring. So please, donate; and share this with your friends and ask them to do the same.
We know the road to recovery will not be easy but we are certain that he will beat this disease and be better than ever!
