I have set up this fundraiser for my mum as she is struggling to pay for my dog (rudi) vets bill/surgery. Last week an accident happened at my grandparents house when my mum was not there and Rudi ended up swallowing an extra large sock. when Mum and I arrived, it had been about an hour since he had digested the sock. My mum took him to the vets and it was emergency out of ours because it was a Saturday afternoon. The Vets gave Rudy some medication to make him sick and hope that it would bring the sock up. This was unsuccessful. They then had to knock him out and put a camera into his stomach in the hope that they could pull it out orally. this was also unsuccessful and they then had to open him up and go into his insides push the sock back from his intestines into his stomach and then pull it out orally whilst this was the much better way of getting it out, it was two procedures in one and this made the cost rise to £4400. we do have Rudy insured but our insurance will only cover £1500 of the cost of the bill so my mum is struggling just before Christmas and I did this unexpected cost to be able to pay the Vet bills. It would be very appreciated from the bottom of our heart if you could find someone or yourself who could donate to help my mum and Rudy at this special time of year.
