Hi, my name is Crystal Sexton, and I’m a 54-year-old single mother of two adult children.
Recently, I suffered a severe injury — I broke my ankle in three places and underwent surgery. Because of this, I’ll be out of work for at least two months while I recover. Unfortunately, I don’t qualify for FMLA or short-term disability benefits, as I haven’t been with my current employer for a full year yet. This leaves me in a difficult financial position.
My son is working and helping out as much as he can, and my daughter—who just gave birth—is currently on maternity leave. We’re doing our best to support each other, but we’re struggling to make ends meet during this unexpected hardship.
Any monetary donation, no matter how small, would mean the world to us. It would go directly toward covering my rent and utilities during my recovery.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read my story, and for any support you can offer — even a share can help.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Crystal Sexton
