Help My Uncle Rebuild His Life After the Hurricane
Hi everyone, I’m Jessica Spencer. I’m from St. Elizabeth, Jamaica, and I’m currently living in the United States. Recently, a devastating hurricane tore through Jamaica, destroying countless homes and lives. My 70-year-old uncle, who lives alone, lost everything. The storm completely destroyed his house, the same home that has been in our family for generations. He’s now left with nothing. No roof over his head, no clothes beyond what he was wearing that day, and very little food or clean water. Communication is difficult at times because they have no service. It breaks me to see him, and so many others, suffering like this especially from so far away. This house wasn’t just wood and concrete, it was filled with the spirit of my late mother, whose memory still lives in those walls. To know that it’s all gone leaves us very emotional.
I’m asking, from the bottom of my heart, for your help. Any donation, no matter how small, will go directly toward helping my uncle get food, basic necessities, and hopefully a new roof to shelter him once again. Even if you can’t donate, please consider sharing this every bit of kindness makes a difference.
thank you for taking your time to read and share
with love Jessica Spencer and family
