Funds for Caitlyn’s Recovery

Hello, I’m Elizabeth Daniel, one of (MANY) of Caitlyn (Strobel) Althouse’s life-long friends. I know we all share similar concern right now, about the recent news of her diagnosis last week at the Mayo Clinic in AZ.

Caitlyn didn’t particularly want a go-fund me at first, but I’ll phrase it for you the same way I did for her. A lot of us want to help. We can’t easily take the kids, or show up with meatloaf every day, or fly with her to Arizona and hover over her the way we want to. (Jake’s gonna have that covered)

But what we CAN do, is band together and buy our girl some time to mend. Her cardiologist has told her that she should give her heart 3 months to heal, once they’ve got everything placed. I know we all want that for her, so I estimated a goal number based on the 3 months of income that she’ll surely miss out on- and added some in for Jake too.

ANYTHING helps. Send her your love, obviously. Your meatloaf too if you’re able- I do know she likes it.

But it’s going to be imperative that she REST, and for Jake to be able to focus his energy on loving her the steady way that he always has. So if you can, let’s help them by giving the gift of unburdened time to recouperate.
