Hey! I'm Khadija, living in Sweden but my heart and soul is in Morocco at the moment, and probably you know the back story of the earthquake. Plus 2800 deaths, more injured. More than 500 schools destroyed, and at least 100000 children were affected by it.

As an individual I reached out to NGOs on the field to know what they are working on in order to figure out how to support from Sweden.

So, we are helping MadNess Association who are collecting a range of resources to address both immediate and long-term needs of the earthquake-affected communities.

These resources include the following tools:

Solar Lighting Equipment: This includes streetlights, spotlights, lanterns, flashlights, and home lighting kits powered by solar energy. These items aim to improve safety and the quality of life by providing reliable lighting.

Internet Equipment: This consists of satellite internet connections, Wi-Fi access points, mobile communication stations, and computers. These resources are used to establish internet connections in the affected areas, facilitating communication and access to critical information.

Materials for Temporary Shelter: This category encompasses modular tents, sanitary facilities, potable water sources, and electrical power sources. These materials are essential to ensure dignified living conditions in temporary shelters, guaranteeing the safety and comfort of displaced individuals.

I am coordinating with Mohamed Rahmou from Madness association. The money collected will be transferred to my personal bank account (Nordea) then to Madness Association Moroccan bank account so they can buy the tools needed for lighting.

Now the association are buying solar panels and lighting for shelters. so the money will be used for that as well.
