Miss Tori Boyd is one off the best people I know. She has a heart bigger than she is. She cares about the people in her life. Whether you are her family, friend or coworker, she cares and supports you. Tori has been to every important event in my life. I feel the need to be there for her now. In January, 2016, Tori injured her knee while participating in a charity fundraiser for a fellow coworker that had been diagnosed with cancer. Tori was out of work for quite some time. She exhausted all of her leave credits. Tori was finally able to return to work. But she was only back to work for a short time before she suffered a stroke. On August 4, 2017, Tori had a severe stroke which left her unable to walk or talk. Tori has had to relearn EVERYTHING. Walking, talking, reading, writing, getting dressed, even eating. All of the things we do everyday and take for granted. Things we do without thinking everyday. Try to blow your nose with one hand. Try to pull up your pants with one hand and only one leg that does what you tell it to do. Not easy is it? This is what Tori has faced everyday for over a year now. Her family, friends and work family have been behind her every step of the way. But she ultimately has to do the hard stuff on her own. And she has. I have watched her recover and never quit. I have watch her fight her way back and never stop smiling. Now all of her leave credits have been exhausted at work. She is faced with paying 100% of her health insurance premiums out of pocket or losing insurance. This is not much of a choice. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated right now. Anything helps.
Thank you.
