Dad’s Cancer Journey

Hi friends,

As most of you know, my dad, Miladin Bjelic, has been fighting bladder cancer for the past two years. He’s gone through multiple rounds of chemo, immunotherapy, and radiation treatments, but the tumors have stopped responding to all of them and the cancer has spread to his liver and spine. He had surgery today, September 1st, to biopsy the spots on his spine and will be starting a new clinical trial next week.

This year has been a pretty tough one on my family. Alongside my dad’s cancer, he’s also been hospitalized four times this year due to various complications from his treatments. Due to the severity of his condition, his ability to work this year has been significantly reduced. While my dad does have insurance, the medical bills just keep piling up. These bills, combined with the loss of his income, have created a financial crisis they cannot navigate on their own.

I created this GoFundMe to help alleviate some of the financial stress and allow my family to focus on my dad’s health and recovery.
