We are heartbroken to share the devastating loss of our beloved Steven. He was a devoted husband, an incredible father, a cherished son, an unconditional brother and an inspiring friend to so many. Steven had a remarkable ability to connect with people—he never met a stranger. His warmth and kindness touched everyone he encountered, from family to friends, to coworkers who admired and were inspired by him.

He was a visionary who believed deeply in sustainability and leaving the world better than he found it. Whether he was sharing ideas to protect the environment or inspiring those around him to live more thoughtfully, his passion for creating a brighter future was evident in everything he did. His coworkers admired his drive, his friends cherished his authenticity. He made an effort to befriend everyone, leaving a lasting impression on those lucky enough to know him. He was loved deeply by all, and his absence leaves a void that words cannot fill.

His work on whole-life carbon assessment, Breeam assessment and his commitment to protecting the environment reflected his vision for a brighter future. In keeping with these values, Steven expressed his wish for a woodland natural burial, a choice that aligns with his dedication to sustainability but comes at a higher cost than traditional options. As we come together to honour Steven’s extraordinary life, we want to give him the beautiful farewell he so greatly deserves.
