Bobby serves as the head custodian at Parkside Baptist Church, and his wife, Paula, has also faithfully worked here as a custodian. Bobby and Paula are dearly loved members of our Parkside family.

On Tuesday morning, Paula began experiencing significant pain, so Bobby took her to the hospital to be evaluated. She has since been diagnosed with colon cancer that has spread to her liver. Paula was transferred to BSA Hospital in Amarillo, where she underwent surgery Tuesday night. During the procedure, doctors removed a melon-sized tumor that was blocking her colon, along with a portion of her colon. If her recovery goes well, she is expected to begin chemotherapy in about four weeks.

Bobby and their three children are currently in Amarillo, staying close to Paula during this time.

First and foremost, we ask that you pray for this family. We believe in a God who heals and sustains, and we are trusting Him every step of the way.
