Hello, my name is Kimberly Hargrove. I'm raising money for my daughter Jayme, son-in-law Stevie, and grandchildren Kayleigh and Toby Johnson. A tragic event struck their family on February 13th in the early hours of the morning. What should have been a peaceful, relaxing night at home spending time with the family turned into a nightmare. They were awakened by their three fur babies barking and jumping on them in bed. Stevie got up to see what was going on. He went to the front door, opened it, and their home was on fire. Stevie's first reaction was to try to get the fire out or under control until the fire department could get there. He ran, grabbed the water hose, and unfortunately, we have had some very cold temperatures here the last few days, and the water hose was frozen. By then, the fire was growing out of control. He ran in and got his family together and got them all out of the house to safety. Howard County Fire Department arrived and managed to extinguish the fire, but by then, the damage was done. Their home, a symbol of hard work and sacrifice, is gone. They worked tirelessly to build a life and create a home where their family could thrive, and it was cruelly taken away in an instant. Now, in the face of this heartbreaking disaster, we are humbly asking for help. Their family is left without the basic necessities: housing, food, and clothing. Any support, no matter how small, would mean the world to their family during this time of unimaginable hardship.
