Support Recovery After Serious Motorcycle Accident

I have been riding motorcycles for years. I just got this 2024 ZX14 40th anniversary special edition a few thousand miles ago and I loved it. I have owned three of these particular motorcycles and I've never had any issues with any of them and I have never had a motorcycle accident in my life.

On the night in question when I wrecked my motorcycle I had no idea what even happened. The last thing I remember was sending my wife a selfie while I was parked at a gas station and telling her I'll be home soon.

I woke up in the emergency room after surgery and all the nurses asked me if I was okay, if I knew where I was, if I knew what happened, what day it was. Of course I looked around and obviously I knew I was in the hospital but I didn't know much beyond that. The day they woke me up was August 5th because they put me in a coma while they decided what to do with me. When the nurse finally asked me if I knew how I got there I told her no and she told me I had been in one of the most serious motorcycle accidents she had ever seen.

I looked at my arms and legs and noticed all my limbs were intact and I kind of thought she was joking but then I looked over and saw my wife and son and the look on their face broke my heart. That's when I realized everything was true.

According to the police report, I hit some gravel just off the pavement and hit a guard rail. After that I hit a tree and was launched 45 feet through the air. My helmet saved my life. Luckily someone saw me and called 911…I don’t want to think about what would have happened if they didn’t.

I was taken to the Baptist South ICU early morning and after extensive neck and upper back surgery I awoke to the faces of my family who had been with me the whole time. Here's everything I’m trying to cope with as I continue to heal and learn to walk again:

- 7 broken ribs, in addition to a collapsed lung which causes it to be difficult for me to breathe.
- The C5-T1 had to be repaired and the T5-T7 disks had to be fused, which restricts my movement and is the most painful out of all my injuries
- I have extensive nerve damage in my left arm so I can't lift or move the arm, only wiggle the fingers. I was waiting on an MRI but the doctors chose to postpone that due to my spinal injuries and slow recovery.

I’m just looking for a little help with hospital and therapy bills while my wife and son help me focus on my health and recovery.

If you can find in your heart to help me through this difficult situation, god will surely bless you and your family.

Rest assured funds will be used for medical and physical therapy bills only.
