To the many family & friends of the Hooker family we are at a loss for words to adequately write about what David meant to us all.
How do you eloquently describe someone so genuine, loving & kind through just words!? David was a man of action! Someone who not only demonstrated those characteristics but lived by them.
He was born in Rathdrum, Idaho and went to college at the University of Idaho.
David met Jacquie some twenty years ago. They started their lives in Coeur d’Alene Idaho and later moved to Havelock/New Bern twelve years ago where they have continued to thrive as a family and within the community. David has been been working for the US Government as a AV-8 Training In-service Engineer.
He loved his wife Jacquie more than anything and his girls were his whole world- Tori and Jazzlyn. He absolutely loved spending time with his family and exploring the outdoors.
David had a great love for cooking! His favorite pastimes included tinkering in his garage, walking the dogs, baking his famous ginger cookies, building plant stands and going all out with his Christmas decorations.
So many have reached out in shock still trying to wrap our heads around the past 72 hours. While we respect the Hooker family and their privacy during this time of uncertainty, so many have asked for a way to help due to the distance and difficult situation, so we felt this was the best way how.
Please continue to keep Jacquie and their two beautiful girls lifted in prayer for comfort, peace and ways to step forward in faith as they navigate these heavy uncharted waters without David by their side.
