Hello, my name is Russell Laos and I am 63 years old and a two-time stroke survivor. On February 20, 2026, I suffered my second ischemic stroke. This was far worse than my first one, and my right arm is immobile. I have dysarthria, which causes me to not be able to use the muscles in my face, lips, and tongue, and it causes me to have a speech impediment. I was hospitalized for 19 days at St. Luke's for intensive rehab therapy (speech, occupational, and physical), which I am now attending outpatient.
I am currently unable to work, and my medical bills and other bills are really piling up. Your donations will assist me with bills, i.e., housing, food, and daily expenses while going through long-term recovery.
Please share this page. If you cannot donate, spreading the word means the world to me. Thank you for being a part of this journey to recovery.
