Carolina Hernandez has been working for us at the Wharf Southern Kitchen and Diegos restaurants in Newport, RI since 2016. Over this past summer, Carolina went to the doctor for what she thought was a pinched nerve or severe neck pain.
After a few weeks of the pain still hovering around a 9 (10 being the worst) she decided to head back to the doctor which is when the doctor discovered swollen lymph nodes. Carolina has since been diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma.
It is recommended that Carolina start chemotherapy immediately, and the funds are crucial to begin this process. Diego’s and Wharf Southern Kitchen will be donating $1,000 to get things started for Carolina and her family.
