My mother passed unexpectedly Saturday morning. She was 65 years old and did not have a living will or life insurance. The family is struggling to find the funds to give her the send-off she deserves. We are hoping to raise $15,000 for her cremation and urn, as well as for a wake and a celebration of life party.

My mother was a great mother and an even better grandmother. She leaves behind 6 grandchildren and three children of her own. She loved to cook and lived vicariously through others. Her smile would light up a room. She was a tough love type of woman and didn't take any shit. She loved watching sports and cooking shows. She was a die-hard Red Sox fan. She loved her family with all her heart, and it pains us to not be able to give her what she deserves.
