Hello everyone,
On Thursday, October 2nd, our sweet Julian hit the corner of a coffee table. A few hours later, he began showing signs of lethargy and unresponsiveness. We rushed him to urgent care, and from there he was transferred to the ER. After several tests, doctors discovered that Julian had suffered a traumatic brain injury (TBI) known as an epidural hematoma — a type of brain bleed.
He was immediately taken into surgery at Harborview, where the medical team worked quickly to relieve the pressure on his brain. After three long days in the ICU, we are beyond grateful to share that Julian is now stable and continuing his recovery. However, he is still struggling with standing and walking, and he will soon begin inpatient rehabilitation at Children’s Hospital.
We are reaching out for support as we navigate this unexpected journey — to help with medical expenses, transportation, hotel stays, and food costs while we focus on Julian’s healing. We also have Venmo and Zelle. More than anything, we ask for your prayers for his continued recovery and strength for our family during this time.
Thank you all for your love, kindness, and support. We love our babies so deeply, and we are doing everything we can to get Julian healthy and back home soon.
With love and gratitude,
Fernando, Cynthia, Mia, and Julian ♥️
