Beside learning that I have a fatal illness, this is the hardest thing I have done. Ask for help. But before I can expect any help I need to share some of my story with you.
It started in 2008. I was the Manager of Information Technology for a large company and it was Christmas. All of my crew had children at home so me and my wife gave up our plans and covered the holiday as we already had a data outage that needed immediate attention.
As it turned out, I was feeling poorly and had nemonia. Also at this time I am told by numerous doctors that is when I was infected with an airborn bacteria infection commonly referred to as Valley Fever. This link is to the Mayo Clinic where you can obtain additional information. Valley Fever Mayo Clinic
It is thought that since I already had pneumonia that my body was not able to fight off the infection as a healthy person would.
It was almost 2 years before the diognoses was determined by Loma Linda Medical Center and tests confirmed by the Mayo Clinic. By this time I had went from 230lbs. down to 150lbs.
Along the way I was infected with Dystonia Dystonia - Mayo Clinic
The Valley Fever is at Disseminated coccidioidomycosis stage that excludes me from any further medical trials or transplants.
I am now on Social Security Disability and needless to say financially struggling. We were forced to file bankruptsy and now cannot even get a equity loan on my home for at least 2 years.
Now it is all about the Quality of Life that I pursue. Part of that is knowing that my wife will be taken care of (by purchasing life insurance that I currently cannot afford) and paying off some small medical debt.
Our goal is to sell our boat and raise enough money to buy a used moterhome so we can go to the Mayo Clinic and try one more time for any hope.
If you are interested in purchasing my boat I am selling it for $15,500 which is well below book value. It is a 2006 Bayliner in beautiful shape. I have had it up for sale but no luck due to the extreme drought.
My current cituation is I am on Hospice Care and I am really hoping I make it thru to have one more Christmas with my family.
If anyone wants any proof of illness or any documentation I can provide please let me know and I will be happy to do so.
I have also lost all my teeth and really want to get some false teeth as one of the items on my bucket list is to take my wife out for a very nice dinner and eat steak like we used to.
So I guess I need to share a wish list so here it is:
1) Sell my boat to pay for my teeth
2) Get a used 30' motorhome, set it up with my medical equipment and try to get another option for treatment at the Mayo Clinic.
3) Travel with my wife untill my time comes.
4) Get Whole life insureance and burial expenses covered.

God Bless All
