We have been in business for 16 years! We have gone through SO much in that time. Three years ago our van which had over 250,000 miles finally died. We recovered from that and got a nice newer van. Transferred all the equipment from one van to the other and had it all installed. At about that same time I was diagnosed with cancer in my right arm. Went through all the expenses of the radiation treatments and physical therapy. The radiation annihilated everything in my right arm. My arm no longer works. Then late last year the truck mount we had for over 12 years finally gave out. With all the supply chain issues we had a frightening time trying to find one so we could keep going. And we did it! We even got through Covid during all of this! Then the economy crashed this year and it has been an uphill battle ever since. We have been fighting the entire year and we were doing fairly well, all things considered. However, several months ago I had to stop our SEO due to a lack of money which has made things worse.
This week the engine of our new truck had 7 misfires that we invested 20k in at the beginning of this year, (for the junk removal business) the same week the catalytic converter was stolen in the automotive shop parking lot after the 1700 dollar fix that didn’t save the truck which needs a new engine. (10k+ to fix) Yesterday my business partner's cousin was in a terrible car accident with the company City Steam Clean’s van and now we have lost everything on top of many other negative things we could list. We are scrounging around to not die or lose our business. We are at the end of the rope with no answers.
We have built a great company and have a solid reputation here in Wichita. Although we are a one-van company, we were adding other services, like power washing and junk removal to grow our business.
We as a team, family, and friends have begun to feel hopeless. We can’t seem to find a way out. We have fought so hard for so long, and we are not willing to give up yet. The funds that we are asking help for in acquiring are to keep food on the tables and to keep up with our expenses over the next two to three months. (January and February are the two slowest months of the year) I started paying for the SEO (online marketing and development) again for about 3 months and we have made some progress but not enough yet. We also are asking for guidance suggestions or general help in uninstalling our equipment and reinstalling it in the new van that we are hoping to achieve through this fundraiser.
With all of this being said, we are asking with the deepest sincere and humble stature as s local business here in Wichita, KS. We need your help, we aren’t ready to give up and we hope and pray that you don’t give up on us. Let us show you what we are worth, even those who can’t donate please take some time to share our fundraiser to as many people as you can as our gratitude would be unexplainable.
Thank you so very much for taking the time to hear our story, donate and share. The impact you’re already having by doing so is invaluable.
We are feeling very demoralized. We can’t seem to win. We have fought so hard for so long. We are needing money to keep up with our expenses over the next two to three months. (January and February are the two slowest months of the year) I started paying for the SEO again about 3 months ago and we have made some progress but not enough yet. Also, we need help with the situation with the truck and getting another van. Then getting everything uninstalled and then reinstalled it in the new van.
We would appreciate anything anyone can do to help us.
Sincerely,
Andrew and Dylan
