Healing and Expanding

My name is MaryTheresa Capriles and I come to you asking for your support as I embark on a new chapter in my life. My immediate need is funding to complete the trainings to establish myself as a certified qi gong (chee GONG) practitioner. I am taking on educational opportunities and experiences that will promote my own growth and provide the tools, insights and knowledge I need to move forward with my own healing practice.

To this end, I am taking my fourth week of Teacher Training (having already finished the first 3 required weeks since last summer) with qi gong master Lee Holden in Santa Cruz the last week of August. Then, at the end of September, I will be attending a week-long event in Minnesota with qi gong master Chunyi Lin from China.

I discovered the ancient Chinese healing art of qi gong, which essentially means “working with life force energy,” in May 2013. Qi Gong includes deep breathing, stretching, strength and gentle flowing movements, and meditation. It is an active way to participate in one’s own healing, both inside and out. Through this practice, I have experienced healing in my own body in many ways. In particular, my left knee, which was injured when I was 13 years old, has had me dancing in pain ever since, wearing a knee brace for any strenuous physical activity. I am now able to function (and especially dance) pain-free and with a greater range of motion than I ever have. To me, this is a miracle.

It is my desire to bring this powerful healing force to others, revealing to them their own innate power to heal themselves. My intentions for my practice include hands-on healing work with individuals, teaching in groups and one-on-one, as well as delivering healing through my writing, dancing, singing and performing.

As I seek to expand into what is calling me, I am reaching out in acknowledgment that I cannot do this alone. The initial investment that I am seeking to cover the cost of the programs themselves, travel expenses, accommodations (and meals while I am in Minnesota), as well as training materials is $3,500.00. Any amount that you feel inspired to contribute, from $5 or $10 to $200, makes a huge difference in helping me attain my goals and open up the possibilities as I move into the next phase of my life.

I also want to reward you for your generous support! For those of you who donate $150 or more, I am offering you 3 private one-hour qi gong sessions in which I will share with you some what I have learned and show you the amazing benefits for your health, strength and well-being. I hope through these individual meetings, I can pass on to you some of what Lee and Chunyi have given to me and that you will experience the power of your own life force energy. This reward is available to those in the Bay Area OR if you happen to be near Minneapolis, I’d love to meet with you during my time there. The sessions are also transferable, if you’d like to share the qi with someone you know or love.

If you are not able to give financially, spreading the word by passing this link on to a friend or posting it on Facebook or other social media, is also most appreciated!

I am excited about what lies ahead, and I am truly grateful for your participation in this expansion. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and for being a part of my journey.

With gratitude, Mary Theresa ☺
