C. Mckelvey's 40 day race to health

After much prayer, Chris Mckelvey begun a 40 day water fast on Jan. 4th due to an unknown illness. After 6 tests and 4 biopsies, his physicians still do not know what is causing the diarrhea, fatigue, and excessive weight loss. Since October 17th, he had lost 44 lbs before beginning the fast. His physicians want to do exploratory tests and surgeries but he chose to seek God first.
Due to the illness and water fast he has had to take a 30 day leave from his employment at Cracker Barrel as a server. He choose to be a server at Cracker Barrel for it allows him to continue with evangelizing and working with youth for God's Glory on the weekends and still support his household during the week. He has 31 years in youth ministry, ministered to over 800,000 teens and leaders all over the world. He has stated numerous times, God is not done with me yet. He knows God called him to this fast and has already experienced one miracle. He had a growth on the side of his neck, about the size of a quarter and it's completely gone. We both feel that in his obedience to stand in Christ, he will receive complete healing in his body.
This brings us to our plead to you. Yes, God is our provider and He has shown us this over and over again. But at times, we must set our pride to the side and ask for help. He has had to take a leave of absence from his job to complete the fast. Cracker Barrel's policy allows him to take a 30 day leave and return without losing his position. We still must meet our monthly bills and with the leave and loss of ministry time, he will lose $3500 in income.
We are asking you to prayerfully consider to sow a seed towards our financial needs while he stands on his miracle for healing. I am also asking foremost to keep him covered in prayer during this fast for strength and complete healing in all areas. God knows our heart and we firmly believe He will bless you in your needs as you sow into ours.
