On April 16th, my brother Jake was electrocuted by 19,900 volts. Basically, it killed him. A coworker tried to perform CPR and was unsuccessful. Fortunately, a nearby civilian heard the accident and came over to perform CPR, and within 5 minutes was able to resuscitate him. Jake was life-flighted to the downtown Memorial Hospital and had to have both of his legs amputated above the knee to stop his kidneys and heart from failing. In other words, to save his life.

Jake has a long road to recovery which will include skin grafting, physical and psychological therapy, prosthetics, and anything that will make his life more comfortable.
