Support for Michelle

Donation protected
In early September, Michelle Gurule, a mother, teacher, and Army veteran, became the victim of a reckless driver and a horrific car accident. She experienced severe trauma to her head which resulted in a traumatic brain injury.  She is currently living with a decreased cognitive and mental capacity, as well as post traumatic amnesia.

Currently, the outlook for Michelle's recovery is predicted to be anywhere from 6 months to a couple of years. She will be unable to drive, work, or be a functional parent for at least 1 to 2 years, in the best case scenario.

Given her current situation, Michelle will need long-term intensive care for her recovery which includes, but is not limited to, access to neurologists, as well speech, occupational, cognitive, and physical therapists.

Michelle's medical insurance will expire in November, which will leave her family with the enormous financial burden of her medical expenses.

We are therefore seeking funds in order to:

1) Provide Michelle with the highest level of medical support that she needs on her  to journey to recovery. This includes moving her to a neurological rehab facility in Texas.
2) Support the needs of her three beautiful children, Shiloh, Silas, and Charlee.
3) Cover any unexpected costs that arise, including legal fees.

Michelle is a pillar of our community. She has dedicated her entire life to serving others, and now it is our turn to help her.

Continue to keep Michelle in your thoughts and prayers.

All proceeds from this campaign will go towards Ryan, Michelle's caregiver and ex-husband, who will use the funds as a general fund with which to cover Michelle and her family's finances (i.e. moving expenses to her treatment facility).
