Medical Fundraiser for Anthony Babauta

In 2019, Anthony “Tony” Babauta was involved in a motorcycle accident which left him severely injured and paralyzed from the waist down. It has been a slow recovery since his crash and initial diagnosis, and for the past few years, Tony has received in-patient care and residence at the Skilled Nursing Unit in Barrigada Heights. More recently his doctors on Guam have recommended off island treatment to address chronic osteomyelitis (bone infection) in his right hip which has been treated unsuccessfully, to include three operations. Tony's medical team has now indicated that Tony's condition requires more specialized treatment using innovative technology not available on Guam. Without the proper advanced treatment, the bone infection will spread and will worsen, severely hampering any recovery efforts. Tony's condition has become increasingly urgent and will require a hospital to hospital transfer. We humbly ask your help with off island medical related expenses for Tony.
