Lifesaving cancer treatment for Philip

On the 29th of July 2021, Philip was in Kerry on a family holiday with his wife, Caoimhe, and two-year-old son, Harry, when he suffered a seizure in the swimming pool completely out of the blue. He was rushed to hospital where it was discovered that he had an inoperable cancerous brain tumour. Caoimhe was 8 months’ pregnant at the time of Philip’s diagnosis and has since given birth to a beautiful baby boy, Jordi.

 

In the space of just a few days, Philip and Caoimhe's world was turned completely upside down; going from looking forward to the arrival of their second child to Philip beginning the fight of his life against this cruel disease.

 

Philip is currently undergoing radiation and chemotherapy here in Ireland, however through research his family and friends have found very promising immunotherapy treatments available in Germany.

 

Unfortunately, these treatments are not available in Ireland and are extremely costly and have to be funded privately. We, his family and friends, are hoping to raise funds to go towards this lifesaving treatment, giving him the care and fighting chance he deserves.

 

Philip is only 37 years old with a young family, a brother, parents, and friends that absolutely adore him. Anyone who has met Philip knows that he lights up any room he walks into. He is kind, caring, funny, an amazing husband, brother, son, friend and most importantly father who loves his children more than anything. Since his diagnosis, we know so many of us have felt helpless as we watch Philip take on this challenge, and have looked to help in whatever way we can. This is our opportunity to make a huge difference to Philip's life and treatment journey.

 

All funds raised will go towards Philip's treatment (any excess funds raised will be donated to brain cancer research).
