Medical Cost And Traveling

I'm doing this page for my daughter Briana. She is seventeen years old and she has had nineteen surgeries. Over this past year Briana has become sick with stomach problems and always being in pain. In January she did a Gastric Emptyimg Scan and showed she had a liquid delay. Her liquids would just stay in her stomach. She was throwing up all the time and bloated and never felt well. She has tried different medicines and Briana was still not feeling well. We saw her Gastro doctor at Motts and they decided it was time to do more test. She was losing weight and not able to keep food down. Briana has had to port surgeries to keep her hydrated. She is now doing infusions seven days a week. Mark and I were realizing she was still going down hill. She is now on baby food and Ensure for 2 meals a day. Her latest test the antroduodenal manometry test has shown she has Visceral Neuropathy. This means her stomach and small intestines are not working. This diagnosis shows she has both the liquid and food delay. Which is Gastroparesis. Motts Hospital does not have a motility center. Briana's gastro doctor has referred us to Children's of Philadelphia. They are rated as one of the top motility clinics in the United States. Briana and I will be heading to Philadelphia once are appointments are made. We will find that out this week. We are a income family. Medical Expenses are expensive. We are trying to raise money for Briana and I stay at the hotels in Philadelphia plus food and gas expenses. This is something that is hard of our family to ask for help. Mark works seven days a week to pay all our bills, food, groceries and gas. This was something that was not planned and we are trying to get the best care for our daughter.
Briana is a junior in high school. She is excited about school starting. Briana wants to help others out who have special needs like she has. She wants to be there for others and with all that is going she wants to serve the Lord.
