This past weekend, Max had a frightening syncope episode and was rushed to the emergency vet. He now needs to see a cardiologist, but the earliest appointment isn’t until mid-September. On Monday night, things took a terrifying turn—when I came home, Max was struggling to breathe, and his tongue had turned blue, showing he wasn’t getting enough oxygen. We rushed him back to the ER, where he was admitted for 24–48 hours.
Right now, Max is in an oxygen tank receiving treatment for fluid buildup in his lungs. The doctors believe he may have lower airway disease that has led to pulmonary hypertension.
Max isn’t just my dog—he’s my whole world, my best friend, and has been by my side since I was 18 years old. This has been overwhelming emotionally and financially, as his health issues came on so suddenly after being fairly healthy for his age.
The funds raised will go directly toward his hospital stay, cardiologist visits, medications, and the supplies he’ll need to stay comfortable at home.
Any amount truly helps, and I am beyond grateful for your kindness and support during this difficult time. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping me fight for Max. ❤️
