Justeen and Justin's Taiwan Trip

NĬ hǎo (hello), we are Justeen and Justin Jackson.  In October of 2015 our family hosted an exchange student from New Taipei City, Taiwan through the Cincinnati Sister City Committee.  We had a great experience with our exchange student and we thought she was so brave to go so far from home and into a whole new part of the world.  Now it is our turn to be brave.  We plan to go to New Taipei City in June of 2016. We will experience the schooling in Taiwan, learn about the differences between American and Taiwanese culture, and everyone’s favorite: try new foods!  We are excited to experience the great variety in architecture in Taiwan, ranging from sky-high Taipei 101, to ancient temples.  However, this incredible opportunity to experience Taiwanese culture and broaden our views of the world comes with a cost.  The fee is $2,850 per student, and unfortunately the scholarship funding through CPS is not available this year.  We are both working hard to earn the money, but we would really appreciate any help in our endeavors.  Thank you in advance, and we can’t wait for this transformative experience!
