Help Karissa Get Her Life Back to Normal

My sister Karissa was in a severe car accident and had to be airlifted to Toronto rendering her bedridden in the hospital and medical facility for the past month. 

The man who hit her head on left her trapped in the car and fled the scene. Thankfully, she will recover but it will be a very long and painful road. She suffered a concussion, multiple breaks, multiple fractures, and surgery- she is one of the strongest people I know, but she needs our help. 

The doctors estimate it will take at least a year for her to be able to walk fully again and even attempt to get back to her regular life. She was working at Waypoint Medical Centre as a personal support worker to put herself through nursing school when the accident occurred. She has now had to stop her education for the foreseeable future (despite just starting her final year) due to this tragedy.

We are asking for help to cover costs as medical insurance only covers a portion. We are looking for support with medical costs, physiotherapy, and her personal expenses as she cannot work for at least a year and has no income as a result.
