Hello, my name is Tiffany Trail and I am looking to raise funds for a family tragically affected by domestic violence and suicide. On Sept 16th, the estranged husband of my good friend and coworker, Kim Weiss, attempted to take her life and ultimately took his own. All in front of their only daughter and young, very frightened granddaughter. In no way are we looking to speak disparagingly about anyone who is no longer here, but the emotional and physical scars left on this grandmother, young mother, and 5-year-old child will be far-reaching and for years to come.

I ask for our community’s help to surround this broken family in love, light, and generosity at this time. Carissa (the daughter) and her 5-year-old daughter, Sierra, have lost absolutely everything. Material possessions and financial stability are a total loss. I know people say this all the time, but I don’t know better, salt-of-the-earth people that this could have happened to. Kim is, hands down, one of the most generous, kindest, caring women I have ever known. She absolutely wears her heart on her sleeve and has always tried to help others. Always.

A lot of people have inquired how they can help this family. Kim has been in the healthcare community with Kaiser Permanente, helping so many others, for decades. This touches home for so many of us, as a lot of us have been affected one way or another by domestic violence and/or suicide.
