Support Ashley's Fight Against Cancer

The worst thing you can hear are the words it’s cancer. The second worst thing you can hear is it’s still there.

I’ll try not going into a ton of detail, basically the last 4 months have been a living nightmare. I was treating for rabies in October, I was bit in my right arm and I temporarily lost the ability to lift and use that arm, which was pretty scary (also my dominant hand). I have unpaid medical bills from that. I was in a ton of pain, throwing up and almost passing out. Went in to find out I have a uterine fibroid, I also have unpaid medical bills for that. Thanksgiving the whole family got sick, I was treated and fine after a couple weeks but my car broke down and I had to quit my job. They decided not to give me my last paycheck and shorted my hours. Without a vehicle it was hard getting to interviews, and I didn’t not work in December.

I had my physical in January, and mentioned the scar on my face was changing. They found skin cancer in 2021, but told me they got it all. I kept telling myself it just didn’t heal right, or there was a pimple under there. It started to hurt more, and it was time to face the music. I went to a different dermatologist and was told I’d need to have surgery. You never want to hear that, especially on your face. At this point I found work, and I was really excited about starting, but it would have to wait until after I healed. So, another month without income. I’ve tried every charity around and the county, and it’s gone nowhere. As much as I hate asking for help, I’ve had a lot of things happen this last 4 months that were out of my control, and I just really want to get caught up and stay in my home. I’m out of money at this point, and I really want to go get some scar gel for face. Still hoping there’s a chance for a husband!
