Help Kayla Heal After Devastating Accident

Hello, I am Kayla. I am 21 years old and I just got married to my husband.

We decided to take a trip to Oregon from Missouri to spend time together.

We were driving back to the campsite.

A red car saw my husband, who was 100 feet ahead of me.

They decided to go through the stop sign and not check again (I had the right of way). She hit me as I was going 40 mph.

She hit my leg and I went flying off the bike and tore my leg open in 2 different places!

I wasn't at fault! But yet I lay here and face the consequences.

Yah sent me some angels and that's why I'm here.

I'm currently in the hospital. They have done 2 surgeries on me and I have a 3rd one to go and healing to get to! If you can help, that would be awesome. The funds will go to an account to help with my medical bills to help me heal as I will be down for almost a year!!!

When I went flying, the bike landed on my face (I was wearing a helmet) fuel was leaking on my body.

UPDATE: as of 6/13/2025 ,I have

undergone 6 surgeries and they are waiting for my wound to heal some more. There's still another surgery yet, plus skin grafting etc. I now have Rods com

ng out of my upper leg/knee/lower leg, these rods are all bolted together to hold my knee from shift while the reattached tendons heal. I was tol that this will be a Year long recovery. My husband has found us a wheelchair van that would greatly aid our future in traveling back and fourth to doctors, we are stranded somewhat down here in Ft.Worth. My husband is making preparations to sell our motorcycles, in trying to obtain better suitable transportation. Thank you so much!
